The Coffin

This one is a little different...and a little creepy.  I just started writing and it came out, and I have no idea where it came from.  I think it stemmed from a not-so-subconscious fear of having the world move on without me.

She felt the solf, cool pillows
As she gazed up at the sky
 
She saw their crying faces
As they bid their friend goodbye
 
She heard the low, sad voices
As the sky began to dim
 
She knew their pain and sorrow
As they sang a somber hymn
 
She felt their warm embraces
As they left her no remark
 
She saw the sky engulfed
As they caged her in the dark
 
She heard the noised muffled
As the silence grew and grew
 
And as all feeling left her soul
Suddenly she knew
