This is more of me rambling on about what I consider to be my favorite favorites, and not necessarily my favorite "something" (such as food).  They can just be favorite things.  If you don't mind listening to my probably incoherent babble, read on...

Stars
Have you ever looked outside your window when it's dark outside, and seen all those little lights shining down on you?  To me, seeing stars is seeing the heavens in their purest form.  Stars are like the guardian angels of the world, watching down on us in dark times; when I look at them, I very simply become completely mesmerized.  Looking at stars is like being transported to a different place, where you don't have to worry about anything.  I like to just go outside (usually during the summer when it's warm, but anytime the sky's clear) and lay down and look up; I could do it for hours.  Just like mashed potatoes are some people's comfort food, stars are my comfort heavenly body.  (Please see my current AIM profile, a link is on the "home" page of this site.)

The real "Starry Night."

Orange
When most people pick a favorite color, they go for something like blue or yellow.  For me, it's orange.  It doesn't really fit my personality, it's a lot more bold, but that's why I like it.  It's also a favorite of mine because it's so unique; when I look at orange I see something that's completely unlike anything else, in a leauge of its own.  I've realized lately how many different shades of orange there are, and I cannot seem to pick a favorite; the brights are cheerful, the deeps are calming, and all of them are just too cool.

ORANGE!! and pretty, too.

Boy Meets World
This show has got to be one of the best and funniest TV sitcoms of all time....and unfortunately, the only way to catch an episode of it now is to watch the Disney channel at 10:30 every evening or rouse yourself at 2 in the morning.  People tend to not like to watch episodes of this with me, because I have nearly every episode memorized and cannot keep myself from laughing hysterically at funny parts.  Hey, it's your loss.  There are so many times that I notice something and say, "hey, I remember on an episode of Boy Meets World...."  I think one of the best things about the series is that everything that happens is realistic, and is about what people really go throw as they get older....and it is so incredibly funny.

Gotta love 'em.

The Muppets
If any of you know anything about the Muppets, then you have to love them.  Right of the bat, they are so funny to watch (as in the best movie ever, Muppet Treasure Island, another one you probably don't want to watch with me).  One time, I was watching a behind-the-scenes extra on them, and it's amazing how they get everything to work; people don't realize how difficult making a movie with Muppets is, and it's even harder when you throw real people in; you have to have a platform for the people to walk on around all of the muppeteers who are under ground level!  I guess it's an acquired taste.  My favorite Muppet would probably be either Rizzo, the Swedish Chef, or Waldorf and Statler, but they are all too cool.  Oh yeah, they sing as well=) (Rainbow Connection is an awesome song!)

Only the best movie alive.

Lilacs
Everyone should have a favorite flower.  Mine would definitely be the lilac.  Even though there are a lot of very nice flowers out there, my favorite by far is definitely the lilac.  Have you ever smelled a lilac before?  If you've ever set foot outside of your house in the spring I bet you have.  Every year, for about a week, all the lilac bushes on my street are in bloom at the same time and you can smell it no matter where you are.  I can't really pin down why I like lilacs so much; they look beautiful and smell wonderful, but I'm not sure what sets them apart from other such flowers to me.  Regarldless, for some reason they are, and if anyone comes up with a tangible explanation, please let me know!

Too bad they don't have scratch and sniff computer screens...
